You must own all rights, title, and interests in any device(s) that you send to us. Ownership of the device(s) will pass to us when we receive the devices, in accordance with these terms and conditions, and we have dispatched payment to you.
All customers have the choice to send their devices using our prepaid Royal Mail postage label, or request a free postage-paid pack.
For high-value items, we advise using a postage service that insures the device appropriately. We accept no responsibility for devices lost in transit, whether sent to us or returned.
The contract is binding between you and us and any respective successors and assigns. You may not transfer, assign, charge or otherwise dispose of a contract without our prior written consent.
We may transfer, assign, charge, sub-contract or otherwise dispose of a contract at any time.If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. Only the parties to these terms and conditions may enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
You may cancel the contract at any time up to when you send us the phone, provided: The contract was concluded exclusively by distance communication.
You are a natural person acting outside a business. You notify us in writing or by email within 3 days of any new offer or prior to sending the phone.
No reason or administration charge is required for cancellation during the cooling-off period.
We may cancel the contract if the phone(s) do not conform to your description or meet the contract terms.
After sending your phone(s) (outside the cooling-off period), the contract cannot be cancelled unless the phone does not meet our terms.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE HAPPY TO SEND THE PHONE TO US AND THAT IT IS WITHIN YOUR RIGHTS TO DO SO.
Devices not meeting our condition criteria will be reassessed. If revised pricing is offered, you have 72 hours to accept or request return (free of charge if condition matches declared state).
Devices with major faults or mismatched condition may incur a £10 admin fee for return. Devices unclaimed after 3 days may be recycled or paid at adjusted price. Stolen, blocked, counterfeit or fake devices will be held and reported to the police. No payment will be made, and they will not be returned. Devices with no value will be recycled responsibly.
Prices offered are subject to change without notice. Once your order is placed, prices are guaranteed for 14 calendar days. Devices received after this period are subject to updated prices. If received devices differ from those registered, the order will reflect the received device(s).
No device is ever the same so grading varies. Devices not listed on our website will be recycled without payment or return. We accept boxes and accessories, but they do not affect value and will not be returned. Please do not include more than two devices per package. Contact Customer Services for additional sales packs. For refurbishment or recycling-impacting damage, pricing will be reduced accordingly. Trade Your Phone will have the final say.
Each device (phones, tablets, watches, gaming, laptops) must match the make and model in the sales order and meet the following:
If the model of the device you send does not match the one you sold to us, we will contact you via email with the correct model and a revised offer. If we do not receive a response within 3 days, we will proceed with payment based on the correct model. Counterfeit devices, which are illegal imitations of branded products, will not be returned and will be disposed of according to best practices, in compliance with copyright laws.
Before sending your phone, you must remove any PINs, passwords, iCloud locks, or similar restrictions. If we are unable to test your device due to such locks, we will attempt to contact you. If we do not receive a response within 2 working days, we reserve the right to process the device at a reduced value due to the inability to complete full testing.
We accept no responsibility for the security, confidentiality, or retrieval of data on devices sent to us. By sending your phone, you agree to release us from all liability regarding any data stored on the device or any associated media. Any data found will be deleted during testing.
We are not responsible for SIM cards included with your device or for any charges incurred before or after the device is received.
We aim to process payments within 24–48 hours of device testing (excluding weekends), subject to our terms and conditions. During peak times, payment may take up to 5 working days.Please ensure all payment details are correct. Payments are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be recalled or reissued once processed.Ownership of the device transfers to TradeYourPhone.co.uk upon payment.The seller confirms that all information provided is accurate and truthful. We are not responsible for any errors or omissions made by the seller.
We offer a Freepost option (standard and uninsured) which includes a postage bag and padded envelope. You may alternatively post the device at your own expense.We recommend using a tracked and insured postal service, especially for high-value items. Our return postage is insured up to £100. For higher-value devices, we advise customers to use Royal Mail Special Delivery, which offers greater insurance coverage. TradeYourPhone.co.uk is not responsible for devices lost in transit to or from our site. Responsibility for the device lies with us only once received.If you request the return of your device, any associated postage costs must be covered by you.
We are not responsible for any damage or loss to devices before they arrive at our premises. Customers are advised to pack devices securely and consider insurance for valuable items. If a device is damaged in transit, it will be returned to you to enable a direct claim with the courier (e.g., Royal Mail). We cannot guarantee or assist with claims to third parties. Please refer to Royal Mail’s claims process for more information.
In the instance we can help with a Royal Mail claim we will have to work with Royal Mails time frame which can be from 4-8 weeks, therefore you would have to wait till Royal Mail have given us an outcome. We are not responsible and can'not make any changes to Royal Mails outcome.
We will keep you updated about your order via email and SMS (if selected). While we guarantee sending notifications, we are not responsible for messages that are not received due to incorrect details, spam filters, or technical issues.
We cannot return devices accepted at full price or after a revised offer is accepted. Blacklisted devices will be quarantined and disposed of responsibly. Devices not meeting our terms may incur a £10 administration fee if returned.
We reserve the right to report any suspected fraud to the appropriate authorities. If a device is later reported as lost, stolen, or blocked, we reserve the right to reclaim any payment made.
